Carnival Bugnes

Ingredients (serves 4) : 
– 250g flour
– 50g sugar
– 70g soft butter
– 2 eggs
– 15cl milk
– a pinch of salt
– 1 teaspoon yeast
– 1 tablespoon orange blossom

Recipe: 
– Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and a pinch of salt. Make a well. Add butter, 2 beaten eggs, milk and orange blossom. Knead into a ball. 
– Let stand at room temperature for 2 hours. 
– Roll out the dough to 4 mm. Cut into thin strips using a knife or a serrated roulette wheel. 
– Fry in hot oil, turning halfway through cooking to evenly brown. 
– Drain the bugnes on absorbent paper, sprinkle with sugar and serve immediately.
