Picasso Museum

The Hôtel Salé, now the Musée Picasso, is a perfect example of 17th-century Mazarine architecture. Built in 1659 by Jean Boulier, it has been described by Bruno Foucart as "the largest, most extraordinary, not to say extravagant, of the great Parisian hotels of the 17th century". Right in the heart of the Marais, Trait'Tendance opens the doors of this exceptional venue for your prestigious receptions.

A historic monument in the heart of the Marais

Classified as a historic monument in 1968, the Hôtel Salé became the Musée Picasso in 1974, just one year after the artist’s death. It seems only natural to install this artist, whose work has been developed in the midst of grand residences and numerous historic buildings. Over a 10-year period, the mansion was completely renovated to house the works of the famous artist. The challenge was to sublimate Picasso’s work, while respecting this listed site, with its superb stucco and stone decorations and majestic grand staircase, based on Michelangelo’s staircase system at the Laurentian Library in Florence.

The Aile des Communs and the museum restaurant are the two areas available for privatization.

The Aile des Communs, the main reception room, is located in the museum’s entrance hall, and offers a historic and prestigious setting for dinners and cocktails.

The restaurant, located on the second floor, is extended by a superb terrace, ideal for corporate cocktails as soon as the weather warms up. In a more contemporary style, the tones and materials used – natural and white lacquered wood, stone and slate – contribute to the serenity of this exceptional setting. Trait ‘Tendance invites you to enhance your evening with a private guided tour of the world’s largest collection of works by Pablo Picasso.
